Plumbing Repair in Rohnert Park & Sonoma County, CA
Leaking faucets and fixtures, running toilets, shutoff and ball valves, supply lines, low water pressure, and light fixture replacement — diagnosed and repaired by Dusty Sanders.
What Plumbing Repair Covers
Residential plumbing repair is the backbone of what Dusty does. It covers the everyday fixtures and valves that keep water moving through your home — the faucets you turn on each morning, the toilet that refills after every flush, the shutoff valve you reach for when something leaks, and the supply lines that feed each fixture. When any of these fail, the disruption shows up fast: a drip that won't quit, a toilet that runs up your water bill, or a valve that won't budge when you need it most.
Dusty handles leaking faucets and fixtures, running and ghost-flushing toilets, shutoff and ball valves, supply lines, low water pressure at a single fixture or throughout the house, and light fixture replacement such as kitchen and bathroom faucets, shower trims, and hose bibbs. Each repair starts with finding the actual cause rather than the obvious symptom, so the fix holds.

Signs You Need a Plumbing Repair
Most plumbing problems announce themselves before they become emergencies. A faucet that drips into the basin overnight, a toilet that refills on its own between uses, a valve that feels gritty or stuck when you turn it, a supply line with a faint mineral crust at the connection, or a single fixture that suddenly runs weak while the rest of the house is fine — each is a signal that a component is worn or restricted. Water stains under a sink, the sound of running water when nothing is on, and an unexplained bump in your water bill all point the same direction. Catching these early keeps a small repair from turning into water damage.
How Dusty Approaches the Repair
Dusty's plumbing journey began at a boatyard in San Rafael in the late 90s, working in the bilges of boats replacing ball valves, struts, shafts, and props. That background taught him to diagnose carefully in tight spaces before touching a tool — a habit he still brings to every residential repair. On each call he explains what is wrong and your options before any work starts, uses quality replacement components, works cleanly, and walks you through the finished repair so you understand how the fixture works.
The California Detail: Water-Conserving Fixtures
Under California Civil Code Sections 1101.1 to 1101.8, homes built on or before January 1, 1994 must have noncompliant plumbing fixtures replaced with water-conserving ones, and sellers must disclose noncompliant fixtures. A fixture is considered noncompliant if it is a toilet using more than 1.6 gallons per flush, a urinal using more than 1 gallon per flush, a showerhead flowing more than 2.5 gallons per minute, or an interior faucet flowing more than 2.2 gallons per minute. If you are preparing a Sonoma or Marin County home for sale, Dusty can identify which fixtures are noncompliant and replace them with water-conserving equivalents.
Our Warranty: Repairs carry a 2-year warranty. And remember — Free Estimates. Dusty explains your options before any work starts.
From a Repair Customer
"I highly recommend Dusty at Cascade Plumbing! I have had him install new toilets, reroute shower plumbing with a bathroom remodel, fix my sink, and walk me through how to stop a pipe outside I accidentally broke from spraying all over the place, until he could come by and fix. He is the only person I would call and have my family call. I trust him for his work and opinion. He is honest, hardworking, dependable, and takes pride in doing things the right way. For me, having a plumper on my shortlist of people to call is imperative. Likely when you need one, you need one fast. I would absolutely recommend Dusty at Cascade Plumbing to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy plumber! He is very fair on his pricing."

Frequently Asked Questions
Not usually. A persistent drip most often comes from a worn cartridge, washer, or O-ring inside the faucet. Dusty diagnoses whether the internal parts can be rebuilt with quality replacement components or whether the fixture has reached the end of its service life and a clean replacement makes more sense.
